Photography is a hobby that many not only enjoy, but as a profession to earn money from some of the large photographs, with photography skills. Becoming a great photographer is required at least three essentials: practice, technical know-how and an artistic eye.
Below are a few simple guidelines to assist beginners to step in this direction.
1st Choose the right camera
For a photographer, the camera is an important part of life and the separation of it can leave a photographer feeling, almost as if physically disabled. Choosing the right camera is of crucial importance for the great pictures. There are a number of cameras on the market, all in different price ranges. As with pretty much everything in life, a good camera is more expensive.
The current cameras follow:
I. disposable camera
II compact camera
III. Digital Camera
IV single-lens reflex camera (SLR)
It is advisable that beginners will not spend too much initially on a camera. The report is because the higher price segment typically include features that are only useful for the experts with their benefits. Try using a camera like Pentax, Canon, Minolta or. These types of cameras take pictures with almost as good quality as the expensive.
2nd Choose a suitable lens
There are two types of lenses to the needs of a person at the top in photography. These include 28mm and 80mm to 80mm to 270mm. Within these two broad categories are macro, zoom and wide-angle lenses.
3rd Film types
The nature of the film is also very important. They want a good quality movie for the beauty of the picture and also for longer-term storage. Of course, you can choose between film color or black and white.
4th Consider film speed
In general, faster films are those with higher ISO number. Normally quickly ISO films used to fast movements, such as birds or sports players in action. It is also to photograph if the desired amount of light is not available. If there is plenty of light, then a 100 or 200 ISO film works great.
5th Color balance
Always consider what kind of light in which you plan to shoot. The film is very sensitive to light colors. If the film does not fit with the light, then unfortunately the colors on the images for development, a chaos.
Photography as a hobby is not only by age groups. Whether young or old, everyone finds pleasure in it. To become a great photographer, taking the time to learn proper techniques and develop your skills. The guidelines above will help you begin to produce, images, in the course of Time May amazement for yourself!
6th Photographs of people
The task of a good photographer is the subject of their best moments, as when they are truly at ease and not try really hard to "act natural" in front of the camera - usually a recipe for a terrible record.
A photographer should also ensure that people in the pictures look as natural as possible. A big picture is the innate personality and beauty of the subject - and not as an attempt to create what is not really there.

Start Photography With White Balance
Always wonder why some pictures have a yellow or blue tint? Why did this happen? Now it has to do with how the camera sees colors in a scene. Correct White Balance is one of those technical aspects of photography, which are often overlooked or misunderstood. But it can make a big impact on your photos, so it is important to understand how color works in photography.
What is white balance?
The color is in the temperature measured in units of Kelvin. Warm colors have a low degree Kelvin, while cooler temperatures have higher degrees Kelvin. For example, the flame of a candle has a Kelvin temperature of about 1500, while a blue sky Kelvin has a temperature of about 9000th The human eye is very good at adjusting for differences in color temperature. Unless the temperature of light is very extreme look like a white wall is generally white. But a camera is not with a human brain behind it (yet!) And so is unable to make the same adjustments. The result is a color that looks to either "cold" or even "warm".
Set the white balance
The purpose of adjusting the white balance is to say that the camera matters either warm up or cool things, depending on the lighting situation. And how are we doing this? Most digital cameras have automatic and semi-automatic settings. The most common are:
Automatic: if the camera takes an estimate on the correct white balance. In most of these conditions is pretty much, but in tricky situations, lighting, it is easily fooled.
Tungsten: for shooting under artificial light (artificial) lighting as an indoor lamp. Since this type of lighting is very warm, the setting cools the colors easily.
Daylight: Filming for the outside. Colors appear under a sky can be blue, so this setting is used to a warm-up scene.
Various brands cameras also have more variations on these settings, such as conditions for clouds and flash photography.
Manually adjust the white balance
In most cases with the help of automatic or semi-automatic settings on your camera good results. But if it's just not doing it for you, or you like me are a complete control freak, most digital cameras, you can manually set the white balance.
This can be done in two ways. Some cameras have a setting that allows you to set the white balance in degrees Kelvin. To do this course, you must know the temperature of your light source. This is easy to find out with a few test shots. For instance, if you shoot within the framework of a standard house globe, you know that the temperature of the light is quite low. Adjust your attitude to a small number and take a test shot. Then review and adjustments as necessary, until the color in your photos look right.
The second method is the tried and true grey card. By holding a neutral color in front of your lens, you are basically the camera to say what looks white. It fits all other colors. To do this, you must have your white balance for manual setting.
With all the automatic settings, digital cameras have allegedly to make our lives easier, it is simply too lazy and let the camera do all the work. However, put in a little effort into learning why things work and how they are doing, you have the edge next time you are dealing with a difficult situation and lighting will help you, your photography.

5 Tips for Wildlife Photos
Wildlife photography can be one of the greatest challenges and rewarding areas of nature photography. With digital cameras creation of such broad interest in all types of photography, New photographers around the world are an interest in wildlife photography.
Most of the leaders in photography these days is focused on the technical aspects of the camera, but really good photography is based more on composition, lighting and sensitivity to your topic. This means you can create your photography by thinking creatively, not technically.
Here are the five top tips for wildlife better photographs.
Wildlife Photography Tip # 1 Get on the subject of the eye level. Wildlife photos are most effective when they create an intimate link between the subject and the viewer. The best way to do this is to make your photo onto the motif of eye level. In this way, your wildlife photo can create the illusion of sharing a moment in the world of the subject, rather than from the outside looking in.
For example, if your subject is low to the ground (like a lizard, frog, or even a pet), crouch or lie flat, always as low as possible, so you can use your photo on the motif of eye level.
Wildlife Photography tip # 2. It 's All in the eyes. The personal connection, the top # 1 is really about eye contact, it is important that the right eye. If the eyes in your photo wild animals are sharp and clear, the picture is likely to work. If they are out of focus, lost in shadow, or if the object or blinking his eyes turn away, the connection is lost, and the picture will almost certainly fail.
You do not need your entire issue in focus. Your pet could be mostly hidden by leaves, is in shadow and Out of Focus. The picture could still work ... as long as the eyes are open and recorded sharp on the picture.
Wildlife Photography Tip # 3 If the background does not help get rid of. Many wildlife photos are spoiled because the background is clearer, disturbing, ugly, or simply inappropriate. For example, gulls on the beach can be very beautiful, but gulls at the local rubbish tip is a different matter. Even wildlife pictures far less natural, if you can say they were in a zoo. Application of this principle: "Everything that is not my picture better, makes it even worse."
This does not mean you can not be a good photograph wild animals in the zoo, at the top, or anywhere else for that matter. You only have to manage. If your background is spoiling the image, zoom right to eliminate the issue, since a large part of the background as possible. By zooming in, you will also reduce the depth of field to a minimum so that any background appears in your photo is of focus and less disturbing.
Wildlife Photography Tip # 4 If your background is working for you, use it well. A photo that wild animals covered the topic in a beautiful natural environment can be even more effective than a simple close-up. My pictures of a kangaroo on the beach, for example, show the issue in an unexpected context, so that a more interesting picture as a close-up portrait photo style.
If your animal subject as part of a broader landscape, you must examine all the techniques of composition, for landscape photography. Remember, the rule of thirds (with or without assistance) and be careful to position your pet so that the motive and background, we are working to a more effective composition. In particular, try to position your subject animal world, so that it looks towards the middle of the image, not on the edge of the frame.
Wildlife Photography Tip # 5 Capture your subject in the best light. Even the animal world perfectly composed photo can fail because of poor lighting. Lose your motive in the shadows, glare reflecting off shiny feathers, and shadows on the face of the issue are simple errors that can ruin a photo.
There is no uniform rule for the illumination in a wildlife photograph, but here are some suggestions. I think often the best results if the sky is slightly overcast with thin clouds. This creates light, bright, but soft and even in comparison to full sunlight. Your topic will be illuminated, but you avoid harsh contrast and heavy shadow, rob the picture of important detail.
If the weather is sunny, try your photos early and late in the day when the sun is low. In these times, the light is soft and warm colored. It is also easier to catch the full face of your topic in the sunlight, rather than half-obscured by shadows.
So you have my five tips for wildlife photography. I might add, cheating and Tip 6: Take lots of photos. The animals move, blink, flap their wings, and generally find ways to frustrate the wildlife photographer. Do not forget, with digital photography it does not cost you anything to keep snapping. So practice, persevere and try the following tips ... You could take better pictures in the shortest time.

Learning Guitar Faster Than Ever?
Have you ever wondered if there's some 'secret trick' to learning how to play guitar? Well, there IS a secret -- but it's one that 'hides in plain sight.'
If you want to move beyond the basics and truly master your guitar, there are two things you absolutely must do:
1. Memorize the fretboard.
2. Develop a solid understanding of the relationship between scales, modes and chords.
The reason for memorizing the fretboard should be obvious. Knowing where all the notes are will make you a faster, more intuitive player. The reasons (there are many) behind learning the relationship between scales, modes and chords require a little more explanation.
The first thing to understand is that chords are constructed from scales.
Let's say you want to know which notes make up the G-major chord You'd first need to know is that Major chords are built from the root, third and fifth tones of their corresponding Major scale. Then, you'd need to know the G Major scale, which is: G-A-B-C-D-E-F#-G.
If you count up from G to the 3rd note you arrive at B. If you count up from G to the 5th note you have D. Play these notes together as G B D, and you have a G Major chord!
The second to understand is that scales (and, therefore, chords) can begin on any note within the key
Here's where modes and chord inversions ('voicings') come in. Let's say that you decide to play that G Major chord at the 7th fret on the first three strings of the guitar. If you strum the chord from the inside out, you will play DGB. In other words, your 'root' is no longer the bottom/first note of the chord. This is what's known as an inversion.
Now, let's say you are playing a song in G Major, and you decide to play the scale starting from a root other than G. For instance, you might begin playing the scale at D. Is this a 'new' scale or just the same scale from a different position? It's actually both!
A G Major scale played from any point while in the key of G is considered "Ionian Mode". It will always sound 'Major'.
However, if you play the G Major scale pattern from D while you're in a different key, you'll be in one of the following, alternative modes: Aeolian, Dorian, Phrygian, Mixolydian, or Locrian.
These modes will sound something other than 'Major'. The Aeolian mode, for example, is actually considered the Minor scale (Ionian = Major scale for all keys, and Aeolian = Minor scale for all keys).
The other modes fall in between, creating interesting harmonizations and are often used in Jazz music for soloing over the more complex, dissonant-feeling chords such as the Major and Minor 7ths and 9ths.
When you learn these relationships, you'll start to notice something akin to an 'interlocking' pattern on your fretboard. For example, when you know all of the inversions for a given chord, then you'll also know that beginning a scale on the root of that inversion can lead you into whichever modal scale you want to play over the current key.
The more relationships you see and understand, the more your fretboard reveals it's self to you for creative soloing and songwriting. The end result is learning and mastering your guitar faster than you ever imagined!

Guitar Lessons for Beginners
Playing the guitar is a extremely fun, and you can never learn too much about it.It,s a never ending learning process. That's why I've put together some "off-the-beaten-path" guitar lessons for newbies here that I hope you'll enjoy. Although these lessons won't make you an overnight guitar hero, my hope is that they'll give you some quick insights to advance your guitar skills futher.
Lesson #1: Fretboard Facts
Did you know that your fretboard is 'doubled' at the 12th fret position? What I mean by 'doubled' is that all of the open-string notes repeat in the same order (as octaves) at the 12th fret.
If you just strum your guitar without fretting (holding down) any notes, you have the following pattern in 'standard' tuning: E-A-D-G-B-E. Then, if you were to place your index finger across all six strings at the 12th fret, you get: E-A-D-G-B-E again!
Why is this useful?
It's useful because it means that all of the chord shapes and scale patterns you learn under the 12th fret are repeated in the same relative positions. So, once you've learned how things work from the open position and 1st fret onwards, you've automatically got everything at the 12th fret and beyond mastered, too!
Lesson #2: Two-Note 'Drones'
Here's an experiment for you to try: Play an open 'D' note simultaneously with a fretted 'A' note on your third string. Now, keep hitting that open 'D' as you move up the D-major scale on the third string. In other words, keep hitting that 'D' as you slide your finger up the fretboard from A to B to D to E and so on.
Sounds pretty cool, right? You can do this for the E and A string below as well.
If you want a song to follow along with and practice this technique, check out the early U2 song called "Electric Co." The Edge" is really a big fan of these two-note 'drones' and used the technique extensively in that song.
If memory serves, 'Electric Co.' is in the key of D-major, and the riff progresses like so:
D/A - D/C - D/B - D/E - D/F# - D/D (that second D is played at the 7th fret position) - D/A -D/C - D/B - D/G (open G on 3rd string) - D/E - D/F#
Hint: You may need to tune down a half-step to get in key with the album version of the song.
Lesson #3: Easy 'Thirds' in G-Major
The Beatles' song, 'Blackbird', popularized this sound. The progression of intervals of 'thirds' creates a very cool sounding harmony that feels both 'major' and 'minor' at the same time.
In case you aren't familiar with the concept of intervals, the basic definition of an interval is that it is the difference in pitch between two notes. What you do is count up from the root note of the major scale to find the interval number.
In the key of G-major, for example, the distance from from G to C is an interval of a fourth because C is the fourth note in the scale.
In this example, however, what we are actually doing is taking the thirds in relation to the chords being played. Let us go from G major to A minor to B minor. The intervals of thirds for each of these chords is: G/B, A/C and B/D, respectively.
Now, trying plucking these intervals with your thumb and index finger. Start with G on the sixth string and B on the second string, open position. Move to A on the fifth string, open position, with C played on the second string, first fret. Finally, play B on the fifth string, second fret, with D on the second string, third fret.
In 'pseudo-tab', the notation would look like this: (6/3 - 2/0) - (5/0 - 2/1) - (5/2 - 2/3). The first number in the 'fraction' represents which string to play on, while the second number represents which fret on that string to hold down.
The parenthesis indicate that you should play both strings simultaneously, rather than one after the other.
So, (6/3 - 2/0) means play the note on the 3rd fret of the sixth string at the same time as you play the second string (0= open position).
That's all there is for this round of beginner's guitar lessons. I hope you enjoyed them and try experimenting with them to come up with new sounds of your own!

They have created some of the most recognizable songs in the history of pop culture, and all of them have at one time or another, played a song on the piano.
However, the sad thing is that pianos are not cheap, and if you have someone who wants to learn to play the piano, it can be hard when they only play at the place of their instruction. You are going to spend thousands of dollars on a new piano, so you need to find a used piano if you want your children to benefit from having a piano at their disposal, which they can use to learn their craft.
This then begs the question, where do you get a used piano? Well, you can forget pawn shops because they are too large and too hard to move to be used by a pawn shop. However, you can often find a piano through the age-old classifieds in the newspaper. Classifieds will sometimes have instruments for sale, which can be bought for very cheap. They may not be perfect, but they will at least allow someone to be able to learn to play the piano from home.
Another option is to contact friends and family, some of whom may be trying to sell a piano. If they are not, then your last option is to check auctions. Often, musical instruments will be for sale at auctions, which can come at a very cheap price. Instead of paying thousands, you will pay hundreds, if that.
Used pianos are perfect for any family that wants to fill their house with the sounds of Beethoven, Mozart, Elton John or Liberace. They are still relatively expensive when compared with other instruments, but you will pay much, much less than you would for a piano elsewhere.
Try and find a wide variety of places for your pianos, from Craigslist.com and the classifieds, to auctions and friends. You should be able to find one, which may not be the best quality, but it will give you the ability to help your children learn how to play the piano. Practice is essential to learning the piano, and if they cannot learn how to play more than once a week at the place of instruction, then they need a piano at their disposal, even a used one.

History Of Saxophone
One of the most popular instruments in the world is the saxophone. If you doubt how popular it is, you simply have to look at Jazz and try and picture the genre of music without it. The truth is, the saxophone has a history that dates back to the 1840s with Adolphe Sax, who specialized in the clarinet. While working at his father's instrument shop, he began to work on an instrument that was a cross between a clarinet and a brass instrument. Through his work, he used the brass body of the ophicleide, the conical bore of the oboe and the fingering of the flute, with a single reed mouthpiece like the clarinet. The saxophone was truly a Frankenstein of instruments.
In 1846, he applied for a 15-year patent in 1846, which encompassed 14 versions of the design, split into two categories of seven instruments each, which ranged from sopranino to contrabass.
By the time his patent ended in 1866, numerous copies of the saxophone came into being that improved on the design and fingering methods. One improvement was making the bell slightly farther extended and adding one more key to extend the range downwards. While Sax's original fingering techniques were quite simple, they have become more and more difficult, thereby making the range of the saxophone much longer.
The saxophone has become a hallmark of a variety of different music genres, most notably Jazz, where it is an accepted piece of the music that helps the genre develop an amazing sound that cannot be equaled by very many other genres. Beyond that, it is often used in soft rock and other types of classical rock.
During the 1990s, possibly the most famous saxophone player in the world was none other than former president Bill Clinton. Many credit him playing the saxophone on the Arsenio Hall Show in 1992 with helping him win the presidency of the United States because his playing of the saxophone helped him relate to younger voters, who came out in record numbers to elect him.
Overall, the saxophone is one of the most popular types, and coolest, forms of instruments that currently exist. It is often identified with laid-back types of music like Jazz and soft-rock. It has been used by a several different people, including a president, and it is also one of the most difficult types of instruments to master. The Frankenstein of Instruments is truly a revolutionary piece of brass.
The use of the saxophone has expanded over the years. It is not included in more modern classical pieces and is seen more in orchestras. It adds a different sound and color to a work that no other instrument can mimic. It may be made of different instruments, but it does not sound like any other. It is truly a unique instrument.
A saxophone is usually chosen by young musicians for two main reasons. The first is if they intend to play jazz. The second is as a secondary instrument to add to the number of instruments that they can play. This enables them to be able to get more musical jobs later on.

The others soon after also disappeared, leaving the police with a 40 gallon drum with nuclear signs on it and green stuff falling out of it and a very worried public.

Pc Satellite TV 2008 Elite Edition - Review
There are many Satellite TV programs that cost as much as $120 a month or higher. After recently purchasing Satellite TV for PC 2008 Edition for a one off cost I was so impressed with the software and the features and performance that it offers.
This would by far have to be one of the best programs that I have come across in a long time. You just can’t get better value for money than this, at a one time only fee of just $49.95 you have access to over 3000 channels offering fantastic quality. I don’t think you could get Satellite TV for that price anywhere with no ongoing monthly cost whatsoever.
When I first purchased this PC Satellite TV program I paid the original discounted cost of $199 and I thought that was a great deal and now they have reduced it even further. Click here for more info
The 3000 plus channels offer a huge variety of entertainment including sports from around the world, movies, music, kids channels, weather, educational channels and much more.
The software is extremely easy to use and also comes with two plugins that were TVAnts and TYUPlayer which gave me over 600 additional channels. The TV and the Radio channel selections are listed according to specific country making it easy to search for the preferred channels for your language.
The biggest problem with this PC Satellite TV program is that is has so much to offer that sometimes it can be difficult choosing what you are going to watch. You can do almost anything you want with this program as far as entertainment and information goes, you can’t get much better.
You can watch these channels from anywhere in the world so if you travel as long as you have your laptop with you then you can just plug it in and watch. You receive an automatic membership to all the stations so you will not miss anything.
This PC Satellite TV software program really does stand out from the crowd as far as PC Satellite TV goes and not that you would need it but they do offer a full money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with your purchase and they also have fantastic customer service. I would give this software a 10 out of 10 and if you will now excuse me I’m off to watch my favourite movie.

Taking Photos With Digital Photography
Learning digital photography is fun as you can see your results almost immediately. But if you've been born and raised with regular film photography, there are some differences you'll need to learn about before you can start to make the most of your shiny new digital camera.
Don't worry - they're not major differences. But if you ignore them, you won't be getting the most out of the modern technology that's incorporated into even the simplest of digital cameras.
The first big contrast to the old world of taking a shot is in the time it takes to get results. No more waiting to finish the film, taking it to a photo lab and then waiting for the results. You can see the results instantly on the camera's built in display.
Digital cameras come in all shapes and forms. Everything from the not-so-simple camera built into your cell phone, through to digital SLRs that offer everything you'd expect and more. Most will offer a zoom of some sort, but more of that later.
Unless you have a digital SLR camera, the first thing you'll find is that your camera takes time to think. You press the button and it seems to go through a process of thinking "Oh, they want to take a photo. I'd better do something." You'd expect this from the camera built into your telephone. After all, there are lots of other things you might be doing instead. But it's not just cell phone cameras that exhibit this tendency.
With a purpose built camera, the shutter lag can get annoying. This shutter time lag is getting better with the more modern cameras but it still exists. If you're likely to take shots that aren't landscapes and aren't party piece poses, then check the specification of your intended device. Or test it out in the shop before you buy so that you can see whether or not you'd get freaked by any delay.
The next thing to think about is the zoom. Taking shots with a zoom lens can be a really good way to take candid photos. Most digital cameras have a zoom built in. But the figures quoted are often slightly confusing. You'll often see two different figures quoted: an optical zoom and a digital equivalent. What this means is that the optical figure is the same as you'd expect from a regular camera. But the digital one is the same as you taking a photo and blowing it up to a bigger size with your image editing software. The camera guesses (interpolates if you want the official term) what should go in the gaps where you've asked it to zoom beyond its optical capabilities.
Aside from that, you can get near enough any feature you like on your digital camera. The more features, the more money you'll pay. So decide whether or not you really will be using things like ultra close up shots, night vision and whatever other add-on goodies your camera could potentially offer before spending your cash on them.
And remember to leave some money in your budget for some good photo editing software so you can easily edit your photos after you've taken them.

The 10 Most Common Mistakes New Unsigned Artists Make
Beware...here are 10 common mistakes I have seen new artists make over and over again.
THE TEN MOST COMMON MISTAKES A NEW ARTIST MAKES
1) THEY DON'T KNOW WHO THEY ARE AND WHO THE AUDIENCE IS THAT THEY ARE TRYING TO REACH.Can you identify your target market? Do you know their age group? Are they primarily male or female? What artists do they listen to and support? What image should you project to reach this audience?
2) THEY MISS THEIR "ONLY" CHANCE TO MAKE A GREAT "FIRST IMPRESSION". You only get one chance to make a first impression so the one you do make has got it make it count! Don't be impulsive of releasing you're recording, sending it in for evaluation or posting it on the social sites before it is ready.
3) THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO "PULL IT OFF" LIVE. You need to play out live as much as possible - but only when you are truly ready to do so. Nothing will hurt you more than to create excitement in your recordings and then fall on your face in front of expectant fans live.
4) THEY RELY TO HEAVILY ON THE OPINIONS THOSE AROUND THEM. I can't tell you the number of times I have been in preproduction with a band or artist who was trying to make a case for a song to be included on a CD because their aunt, uncle or next door neighbor thought it was a hit. Be especially careful not to make critical decisions based only on comments from adoring friends and family. Undoubtedly they are biased and will have a vested stake in your success.
5) THEY TRY TO LAUNCH WITH TO MANY SONGS. Even thought it's tempting, never give away all of your material at one time. You will be doing extremely well if you perfect three or four songs first. Always lead with your best material but make sure that your direction is cohesive.
6) THEY TRY TO BE COOL AND WRITE OBSCURE LYRICS OR WANDER TO FAR AWAY FROM ACCEPTED SONG STRUCTURE. It used to be very hip to write lyrics that people had to try and figure out by debating them amongst each other but unless you are a "druggie" band or writer re-incarnated from the 70's, it is much better to write you songs in the first person and try as much as possible to pack them with emotion and experiences others have felt and can relate to as well. Also, don't think it's cool to wait forever to get to the chorus or try a one-minute intro or guitar solo. Study pop structure and learn it. You can learn more about this issue at www.musicproshollywood.com.musicproshollywood.com
7) THEY JUMP IN TO SELF-RECORDING THEIR MUSIC WITHOUT ANY RECORDING EXPERIENCE. Obviously, the best option if you can afford it is to use an experienced recording engineer to record and mix your music. This may not be possible and today it is so tempting to make tracks on computers and bang them into a sequencer or hard drive system, put on a vocal, do a quick mix and call it a master. In order for your recordings to be competitive against the big artists that do have the great sounding tracks.
8) THEY RELEASE VIDEOS OF THEMSELVES BEFORE THEY ARE READY. Again, because the net offers such quick access to social sites, you may be tempted to start posting videos of rehearsals and performances before they are ready to be seen. You must make certain that what you are putting up is doing you justice. Remember, every time you post something or send it to someone you are inviting yourself to be judged.
9) THEY ARE TO ANXIOUS TO SIGN "ANY" CONTRACT. If you sign an agreement too early with a local manager, agent or your bass player's father, you will pay dearly for it later when you need to get out of it in order to sign with real professionals who have the experience, contacts and leverage to make it happen for you. This is not to say that someone with little experience cannot work hard and get you to the top, but to make it as a world-class artist, it will happen faster with a professional team behind you.
10) THEY ARE IN A HURRY TO SIGN WITH A MAJOR. The decision to submit your material to a major is a tempting one and the tendency of many artists is to care more about chasing and getting the "deal" than the financial ramifications of what the deal means in the future after they've signed it. Most artists don't realize the facts until too late,Be smart and polish your "diamond" first, it might be priceless!

Bon Jovi: Slippery
Bon Jovi have been on the go as a rock band for 24 years, and at the top of their game for just as long. Formed in 1983 by lead singer Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, bassist Alec John Such, and drummer Tico Torres, Bon Jovi have amassed record sales and adulation the world over, and have been reponsible for some of the most memorable rock tracks produced throughout the 1980's and 1990's.
Their first two albums released in their first two years sold at mediocre levels; Bon Jovi only reaching number 71 in the UK - although 7800° Fahrenheit faired sightly better at number 28. But it wasn't until the release of Slippery When Wet in 1986, and New Jersey two years later, that they really hit the big time. These albums sold 19 million copies and earned them eight top ten single hits; to put it another way, they launched the band into stratospheric stardom.
With the success of these albums also came a heavy touring schedule, which saw them travel the world almost constantly over the next two years. They eventually took a break in 1990, during which time Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora both released successful solo albums.
In 1992 the band returned to the music scene as though they had never left, with the hugely successful Keep the Faith album, and have since gone on to regularly and consistently release further albums, all them going platinum.
In 2006 they won their first Grammy with Who Says You Can't Go Home, for Best Country Collaboration with Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland. They also became the first rock band to reach number 1 in the Hot Country Songs chart with the same song.
Throughout their career, the band released ten studio albums, and in addition charted 19 singles that made it into the Top 40, four of which landed at number 1: You Give Love a Bad Name, Livin' On A Prayer, Bad Medicine and I'll Be There for You.
Bon Jovi also hold the record for the most weeks spent at number 1 for a hard rock album with Slippery When Wet, as well as the most Top 10 singles from a hard rock album with New Jersey, which charted five singles.
Over the past 24 years, Bon Jovi has sold over 120 million albums worldwide, 34 million of those in the United States alone, making them undisputably the kings of modern day rock and roll.
